Does Mark feel cheated with this supposed “reboot”?
Does Flash screw things up in Flashpoint and create this new DCU?
Slim loves Oracle, but prefers a walking Batgirl.
Jonesy sees Ultimate parallels in the New DCU.
Will the same-day digital launch pricing bring in new readers?
That pollybagged $5 print+digital option sounds iffy.

So this DC news was so big the contributers to the site, Jon Stump and I decided we needed to sit down and talk about it. This is an episode of “Jon and Cameron Talkin” a show under “The Cameron Rice Show” feed. Check out other episodes if you are interested here. We often discuss movies, comics, or other things. It’s an awesome feed.

So here we are joined by David Accampo. Creator of the Web-series “Wormwood” and co-host of “The Fuzzytypewriter Podcast” What do we think? Give it a listen.

Slim has been nice enough to allow me to post my comic podcast into Paperkeg. So here is the June episode. Other contributer Jon Stump could not make it this episode, but I’m joined by my normal co-host Ali Colluccio a.k.a. @WonderAli from iFanboy and Angela Paman a.k.a. @Acomicbookgirl. If you enjoy this episode, go back into the feed and enjoy the other Comics Round Table Episodes. And come back next month for July’s roundtable.

On this new episode of Comics Round Table, it’s just Cameron, Ali and Angela as Jon waits for a bed. We talk about the DC reboot news, a little about X-Men first class, a discussion on Uncanny X-Force and more. Enjoy!

iTunes -> here.

And on my movie review show, I’m joined by Paul from iFanboy and Fuzzytypewriter podcast, also Dave Accampo from Fuzzytypewriter and finally my co-writer Elizabeth as we discuss Green Lantern, X-Men first class and other movies. The movie show won’t be here all the time, just went a comic movie comes out.

Let me say before getting into this, this is a nitpick of the worst kind. If this were an actual problem, I would have problems, if you know what I am saying.

I have a problem developing, and I attribute it all to doing the podcast. I read comics. I LOVE comics. Before I started doing Paperkeg’s podcast (and to a lesser extent The Comics Podcast) I had a very clear cut, distinct monthly pull list. As a regular customer of The Comic Book Shop, I have a subscription box where all of my usual monthly titles get thrown into. I have a regular list of titles I buy monthly, and up until a few months ago, I was happy with “the usuals.” For the most part those titles were very static and included:

  • Amazing Spider-Man
  • Gears of War
  • Green Lantern
  • Powers
  • The Walking Dead

As everyone who reads comics knows, it is very easy to spend a lot of money and time on comic books. My subscription box was beneficial in that it kept me grounded. I stayed in my own little world and was only kept apprised of the events happening in my regular books. I was entertained, I was in my budget range, and I had the time to read what I read.

The Weekly Dead has returned! All new, not that different. Jon and Cameron run solo on this round, explaining the where abouts of the girls, who have gone off on their own, splitting off as all good survivor groups must do. In this episode we discuss the hour and half premier as well as Episode 2. Does the show still hold up? Is one of us growing lukewarm on the show? Did Cameron give away a spoiler from the comic? Did the RV live to see another day?
