Paperkeg #9.1 | The New DCU/Digital
(Download | RSS | iTunes | Zune)
Holy smokes! DC has announced that they’re relaunching the DCU and starting from all new #1’s across the board. Not only that, but each issue will be released digitally the same day. Have our dreams been realized? Setlist is a bit different for this mini-sode: DCU reboot/digital news with Fear Itself and Flashpoint/Fear Itself chatter to round out the show. Special thanks to @JimLee for his take on the new JLA and to YOU for our iTunes reviews and/or ratings so far; they help spread the word about the show.
Topics included, but were not limited to:
- Does Mark feel cheated with this supposed “reboot”?
- Does Flash screw things up in Flashpoint and create this new DCU?
- Slim loves Oracle, but prefers a walking Batgirl.
- Jonesy sees Ultimate parallels in the New DCU.
- Will the same-day digital launch pricing bring in new readers?
- That pollybagged $5 print+digital option sounds iffy.
- Phase 1 creative teams (43:00).
- Event books chatter.
Thanks again for listening and don’t forget to get your letters in for the Paperkeg #10 | American Vampire. Featuring a debate on whether or not comics should be in trade form only! iTunes!
